Feather Board | Keeping Your Pet Happy

If you're running stock along the fence of your router table for jobs such as edge profiling or rabbeting then you know the importance of keeping the workpiece on track with constant hand pressure in order to achieve accurate results. This task is quite often made more difficult by the need to change hand positions during the cut and trying to maintain the same feed rate, all whilst keeping your personal safety in mind. These feather boards solve all these problems, by providing even, consistent pressure on your workpiece up against the fence. These feather boards allow you to apply pressure closer to the router bit, at the most critical point, without risking injury to your fingers.

Manually setting feather boards parallel to the material or fence can be a time consuming task made longer when using different sized stock. The premium design of these feather boards allows you to make quick height adjustments whilst staying in parallel alignment with the workpiece and fence, essential for accurate routing. Simply set the position of the feather board using the two outer knobs to tighten into place, with either the included hex bolts or mitre slot bar. Feather board height is then adjusted using the two inner knobs, allowing it to move independently of the mounting body. The feather board can be extended up to a length of 100mm from the mounting body. The length of the feather board can also be extended further, up to 140mm from the mounting body by simply turning the mounting body around inserting the feather board into the opposite end.

With a face height of 13mm, each finger features a smooth rounded edge designed to leave no marks on your workpiece. Measuring 130mm wide each feather board provides a large surface area for applying even pressure against your workpiece. Constructed from high impact plastic, these feather boards offer exceptional strength and impact resistance whilst retaining the flexibility to withstand the most heavy-duty of tasks.

Whilst ideal for routing these versatile aids can also be used on table saws, band saws or any other stationary cutting tool. Included in the kit are hex bolts for securing to a 6.35mm or 8.3mm T track and a mitre slot bar for fitting into a 19mm T track.
